Magores is Wilting

It's frigging HOT in Beijing!!!!!

I'm talking HOT!

And, the worst hasn't even hit yet.

Lately, it's been 33 degrees Celcius.

If we do the math....

33 celcius times 9 divided by 5 plus 32 equals 91.2 degrees fahrenheit

The sun rises at 5am. It sets at 7:30pm. I sweat while walking to work at 9am.

Apparently the temprature peaks at 40 in July and August...

Doing the math, we see that 40C = 104F

2 months of over 100? 2 months of below 0? I wish this place would make up its mind!

Ok well at first I wasn't going to feel sorry for you....cause wow 91 its been 91 and higher for a few weeks now...Welcome to Florida. And I was thinking but come on what's the humidity factor. I mean seriously I know you grew up in the cold North Country and I had the fry an egg on the sidewalk childhood. But humidity!!! Ya know some days I think Florida is a paradise and then again some days.... I've actually screamed outloud to no one in particular "You know there are places in the world where people don't have to live like this!" (Thinks to herself...like San Francisco!) That's usually after a day without A/C. Or driving 5 miles an hour on the 70 mph freeway with the blinkers on in a rain storm waiting for someone to rear end me only to realize that the monsoon of water crossing my path is also stopping the 37 18 wheeler's blocking me in.

But then I realized (guessed though I don't know for sure) you are probably gonna get some super humidity and 104!!! OMG Mag! Give me your address so I can send you some ice (do they have ice in China?? Its really a big dealeo in Italy, almost like gold) and one of those personal water bottle squiters with a fan. hehe. Stay hydrated man it helps (ps beer dehydrates you even though its a liquid...see I took science in HS).

Last note...went to Epcot for the first time on Saturday. It was nice but a little smaller/less stupendous than I thought it would be. I left thinking...hmmm I got all that in San Francisco for real and didn't have to pay the $63!!!!! entrance fee. As in Chinatown, Japantown, Northbeach etc ect. One really cool thing had me thinking of you which was the 360 degree movie on China. For 18 minutes I got to peak at just a small bit of what you might be seeing on huge 360 screens all around me. It was so beautiful that I left tearing a bit and missing you and good times we had. Ya know best thing about time is helps the bad times slide away a bit. Anyway...China what a beautiful country. The Great Wall wow...I can't remember have you been able to get out and see it yet?? I think I'm gonna start saving my pennies to see if I can make the trip while you are there. That would be so frik'n cool.

Anyway miss you! Love you! E

So what the roomates leave and all of a sudden you have a social life and can't write anymore. You've got to keep the family posted on your doings. Mom will have a cow if you don't write something soon.

Hi Mike,

this is from Rona and Neal. We hope you're doing well and we hope that August wasn't too, too hot for you!

We just wanted to let you know that a little Orenstein will be arriving in December.

All is well. We're moving to our San Jose townhome mid-Sept., to get help from the family!

We miss you!

Love,

Neal and Rona
